For more than 25 years, Gary Gentles has advised executive management on transformational accounting and finance matters, both as a member of leadership with large publicly traded companies and as senior director with financial and accounting advisory firms. As founder and Managing Partner of Brookstone Advisory, he leads a team with deeply technical business knowledge to collaborate with clients to solve accounting and finance challenges and implement solutions. The firm offers full-service advisory for accounting, transactions, financial reporting and audit readiness.

Gary has played a critical hands-on and leadership role in more than 50 acquisitions or dispositions. His executive expertise includes international mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, including due diligence support, preparation and issuance of financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP, SEC, and IFRS regulations, and the integration of the acquired entity’s accounting and financial reporting for sponsor-backed entities. 

Gary’s highest proficiency lies in analyzing and defining the financial impact and implications of a merger or acquisition on an organization. He advises mid-sized private companies to large public multi-nationals that span industries including healthcare, manufacturing, consumer products, technology, logistics, automotive, public utilities, real estate, and financial services.

Known for skilled CFO consulting, Gary worked in accounting advisory roles prior to founding Brookstone Advisory, helping clients acquire and integrate transactions with a combined value of more than $10 billion. 

Gary is a graduate of Indiana University and a licensed Certified Public Accountant. He resides in Acworth, Georgia with his wife Tracy.
